Arriving in India
This entry is coming to you straight from India, where I'm working for the next couple of months. Not really had the chance to do much so far, as I didn't get here until about 3am, and I've been sleeping for most of my stay so far. Work begins tomorrow, so by then I should have something much more interesting to talk about!
The weather here is good, although a little on the humid side, but luckily the apartment me an my friend are staying in is quite cool. The food here is great so far, although I did make the mistake of drinking the tap water, which I'm told is not a great idea for newcomers. In my defense, I did believe it to be bottled water put into a jug! The next couple of days may prove to be very interesting indeed!
The only problem I've had so far has been getting WoW to install. I'd bought a new laptop especially for the job, and as most of you know, new kit these days comes with Vista pre-installed. The problem? Well, it seems that while XP plays ball just fine with the WoW battle chest discs, Vista is a little bit more choosy, in that it won't. A quick search online reveals that the solution is to download the install from the website. So, try to log in and download aforementioned installs, and it rejects my details. But wait, I already use these details to play the game! OK, maybe I need a different password, I know the name of the account. Nope, apparently that isn't valid either. Same thing goes for my email addresses, which, I should add, are the only two email addresses I use outside of work. So, I've sent them a lovely email of complaint, and if it doesn't get sorted during the period that I am out here, then I shan't be happy, and I will be asking for a refund, as it's not even possible to log on and suspend my membership for the time I'm not able to play!
Keep Up To Date
