  • When Accessibility Gets Sidelined

    disability sign

The RNIB puts sight loss in the UK at about 2million people, which they estimate is about 1 in every 30 people in the country. That's the number of people with significant loss, and of those over 364,000 (as of March 2006) are registered as severely sight impaired (blind) or sight impaired (partially sighted). Catering for these people is easy on the web isn't it thouhg? Just chuck alt text into images and you're done right? butterfly

I've been spending a lot of time on a new website of late, but this one is a bit different, it's on a subject a lot closer to home; the website for my upcoming wedding which is taking place in 6 months time! At first, it was more of a way for my fiancée to keep me occupied and out of the way, but it's actually turned into something quite useful. The website has turned into a place where we can do that more easily. It's been fun as I can really just build it however I want.

  • Adobe HTML5 Camp 2011

I was recently lucky enough to be able to attend the Adobe HTML5 Camp in the UK which took place on , and I must say I enjoyed it immensely. There were some great speakers (and one not so great) and I learnt a lot more about some of the products that Adobe (and Google) were showcasing.

What have I been saying recently?

@firefox even faster than CTRL/command click, middle click with the scroll wheel. Great for closing tabs too.

Back again at the office for #tmwhackday tension mounting and last minute "tweaks" being made. S*** just got real!

So, after getting through over a dozen pizzas at #tmwhackday , this is what greets me at home! http://t.co/jKmvE54Y
